Thomas & Cheri Henry
Thomas and Cheri have a passion to walk with global workers to strengthen and encourage them in the challenges of serving in difficult places. They lived in the Middle East for 23 years doing church planting, mentoring, and regional member care. They understand the complexities of living and serving on the mission field while raising TCKs. Married in 1990, eventually leaving the world of Wall Street, God called them to Turkey in 1998. They have three adult MKs living in New York City and Africa. The Henrys have fallen in love with Scottish Country Dancing.
Thomas and Cheri are convinced that ongoing spiritual and relational formation of couples and singles is key to healthy ministry teams. For this reason, they lead the 4-day Relational Skills Intensive for Couples, Singles, or Teams. The Henrys are willing to travel to your field or conference.
Cheri, through pastoral counseling and coaching, loves being a spiritual companion to single and married women using her gifts of discernment, encouragement, and leadership. She often sees healing prayer as a critical part of helping women.
Cheri’s Biblical grounding was at Liberty University and Asbury Theological Seminary. She loves art and architecture, downhill skiing, traveling, playing games, and being with people. She holds a BA in Political Science with a concentration in Economics and French from Wellesley College.
Thomas, through pastoral care and coaching, values exploring the challenges of life, addressing issues pertinent to ministry, and discovering how life’s transitions are unique doorways to growth. His core conviction of helping workers - “The essence of serving the Lord is getting the gospel clear in your own heart and mind, keeping it there, and making it clear to others.”
Thomas loves all things nature and mountains - walking, hiking, birding, solitude. He is a certified coach, Grip-Birkman coach, and facilitator for the Coaching Workshop for Christian Leaders. He holds degrees in Business Information Systems and a Master of Divinity.
