George Jemison

George feels passionate about helping people make changes in their life that bring about healing and develop resiliency. He believes that relationships are at the core of transformative healing and endeavors to help each person establish and enhance relationships that will lead to significant personal growth and improve their well-being. Coupled with this passion is a deep valuing of international missions, multi-cultural experiences, and coming alongside those on the front lines of ministry. Thus, George was drawn to member care early in his training as a psychotherapist .

Training and Specialties: George earned an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College, is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Illinois, and certified Imago Relationship Therapist (IRT). George specializes in couples counseling, bereavement, chronic pain, and promoting self-awareness through digging deeper towards the roots of the issue. And, he has a broad range of experience treating anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, addiction, attachment wounding, boundaries issues, and trauma. Furthermore, George is passionate about leading marital retreats and helping couples transform conflict into opportunities for healing, growth, and connection. As a facilitator, George uses a depth of knowledge about attachment, bonding, and how to heal in marriage with humor and safety that puts people at ease. With George, clients find an atmosphere of grace, authenticity, warmth, and honesty.

Work History: George began his career in a hospital environment, engaging with adolescents in residential and impulse control units, in addition to aiding in psychological assessments. Following that, George worked 8 years in private practice in the Chicagoland area, focusing on therapy for couples, adults, adolescents, and families. Afterward, he shifted his focus to aid Christian Global Workers overseas. George dedicated five years to service at Cornerstone Counseling Foundation in Chiang Mai before transitioning to One Another Ministries.

George is a proud father of two precious children, Edmund and Edith, and deeply grateful to be partnered with his lovely wife, Heather.
