Twala Andrino

Twala has spent over 30 years serving as a foreign missionary, first as the daughter of evangelical missionaries and church planters, Tommy and Donna Duniho then as a missionary for 15 years in her native Belgium. These years in ministry were served in church planting, teaching in a Bible College, and pastoral counseling.

The following years in the United States included teaching both on
the high school and college level, individual and family counseling in a private practice, and practicing as an oncology and grief counselor within a hospital system. She also served on the care and counseling team of her church, as well as being a group leader for single women.

Twala’s education and training includes a Bachelor’s degree in Missions and Education as well as a Master’s in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.  Twala is currently a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.

Her love for people and heart for missions brought her to One Another Ministries where she serves those in full time ministry on the foreign field. She believes that her life experiences and diverse professional training have prepared her in all aspects to serve the needs of Christian workers abroad.

Twala's Latest Update Letter

Dear Prayer warriors,

Have you ever gone into a situation
thinking that you would be a blessing to someone,
only to realize that
they were more of a blessing TO YOU?

The young missionary couple with whom I worked this past week was just such a blessing to me!  It is so refreshing when a YOUNG couple, just a few short years on the mission field, realizes that they need to share their story with someone and acquire some healthy tools to be able to work long term for Christ!  It really is all worth it and YOU ARE THE REASON that I can be here to do this work for Christ.  Thanks so much for your prayers and faithful support!

Another touching blessing to my heart, is to continue to follow up with families with whom I have worked.  They often are too far away to be able to come back for a "top up", but many do ask for a Skype time, in order to solidify some of the work that we have done and affirm the use of the new tools they are trying to implement in their lives and ministry.  These are all times of refreshing blessings to me as well.  This past month, I received the picture of the sweetest baby ( child number three for this missionary couple), and we were able to have a time of rejoicing together on Skype.  This couple had been in such a state of despair that they were thinking of leaving the ministry and possibly ending their marriage before coming to One Another Ministries.  This is what OAM is all about! and YOU ARE A PART OF ALL THIS.

I want to thank you for the faithful prayers, calls, and thoughts during my time with my parents recently.  When I first arrived, my dad was still in the hospital following his diagnosis of Alzheimer's and its rapid progression.  My brothers and I had the task of finding placement for him as he is not able to come home.  This also caused concerns for my mother, as dad was her caregiver.  God is good, and rest assured your prayers did make a difference.  The blessings are that Dad is content where he is and is not asking to come home ( I will admit that this is a huge answer to prayer for my whole family, because it would be so very difficult to have to deal with that).  Please remember Mom in your prayers as she transitions to living alone.  We were able to implement a care giver, a cleaning lady, meals on wheels, and some people from church to check on her once in a while.  For those of you who have asked, she would love a phone call ( cannot do writing or email) 360-275-6441.

Some exciting events in the next few months include: helping missionaries, attending a member care conference in Germany ( for all of Europe), taking some training in EMDR to help with trauma issues, and visit from a group from the USA for their missionary conference.

Thanks for those who do send me updates of your own!  The rest of you, please join in!

Ephesians 3:20-21 Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

Every blessing and praise be to our Lord,

Twala
